Hoping for a bright future, I pack my stuff and hit the road to my dormitory in Tehran. All the way I’m toying with the idea of everything  good waiting for me to show up, a neat and clean room with every possible facility available for an MA student, welcoming and warm roommates, and enough time to read everything  from cover to cover. But as soon as I set foot in my humble dormitory, all my expectations are ruined. The tough life in dormitory is completely different from my easy life in birthplace in terms of facilities and culture.

        The first thing just catches my eyes is a dark, narrow, and gloomy corridor with dirty tiles covering it. There are dim lights hanging from the ceiling here and there that makes it harder to take ( tolerate). I can see pale pink shelves all around the corridor used by students to put their possessions in. Not forgetting the doors, each of them opens to 8 different lives. The only things that give a little bit life around are the colorful slippers and shoes crushed into the shoecases and some are thrown off here and there for lack of space. There are 2 or 3 red dustbins with white lids standing and shinning in the middle of the corridor. That is what I see befor my very eyes but what I feel inside is just silence, darkness, and stillness. Thinking of living behind one of these doors make me shiver with fear. I vividly remember my own house with white walls, shiny and spotless ceramic tiles and a shoecase with no shoes sticking out of it, and colorful pictures hanging from the wall. I deeply feel homesick but I can’t give up. I have to keep going. The second room on the left is my mine. Now that I get closer I can see the details better. It is cream with rusty black handle. I knock the door and a girl comes to the door. She says hi coldly. I enter the room. On the left is the kitchen. I can’t believe it. That is an eye opener. Everything is in complete chaos. Nothing is in right place. There are spots of oil on the tiny oven with burnt matches around and one or two black and unwashed pots on it, and so is the sink. There is a little dustbin full to the brim. The floor was covered with bread crumbs. The cabinet above the oven goes to dark brown by the intense heat from the flame and the others get rusty because of entering water coming out from the sink. This view is a far cry from my kitchen view in Arak. White cabinets, a huge clean oven without any oil spot, a shiny and snowy floor.  My room is extremely small with 2 double-deck beds in it. A glass between the room and balcony make the view even worse with a lot of ill-matched slippers, piles of bags and suitcases. There is no light coming in. the room is so small and cramped that there is no room left for my stuff. So I put my books under a chair near my bed, my clothes in a big bag, and the rest in the basement of the dormitory. All these bring back memories of my room. My spacious room with yellow, red and orange curtain, 2 big windows and a door going to the yard, 2 desks, a big library, and a modern computer. With all these there is still enough room to walk and jump. Having no separate toilet and bathroom and no wireless internet worsen everything in my dormitory room

      Skipping the facilities the worst and the hardest part to deal with is my loneliness ,being away from home, and being exposed to different culture. Arak is a city with kind and warm people. Almost all people know each other and as it is said you can’t go out and not see a friend. If you step out of the house, neighbors start greeting you. Even on the bus that no one knows the other, with the tiniest cue like the weather or the increasing price of fruit, the passengers start chatting and jawing. I have a bunch of friends in my birthplace. We have a little get-together on and off and sometimes we go to paint the town red. Usually after the class at university me and my friends go to our favorite hang out and have fun. But in Tehran everything is upside down. Everybody is up to neck in work so you can’t have the friend of yours. After the class students just fan out in no time. On the street people pass by each other with no caring. On the bus some people with their heads against the window are gazing outside and some with their heads bending down use the opportunity to take a cat nap

سلام دوستای گلم.خوبین؟

امروز می خوام یه سایت جالب بهتون معرفی کنم.

راستش همیشه دوست داشتم یه متن باشه که هر روز بخونم و هر روز هم جدید و تازه برام جذابم باشه.و تازه زبانش slang باشه و بتونم با خوندنش با ساختارای انگلیسی original آشنا بشم. خوب گشتم و گشتم تا این ایده به سرم زد. سایتی که پایین هست سایت طالع بینی که هر روز طالع شما رو به ایمیلتون می فرسته که شامل طالع روز شما و کار و رابطه ی عشقیه شماست.خیلی جالب زبان زیبا و شیرینی داره.

امروز می خوام بهتون یه کتاب خیلی خوب برای گرامر معرفی کنم.مطمئنم خوشتون میاد.

اسم کتاب: Oxford Practice Grammar

به همراه سی دی و کلید سوالها

این کتاب گرامر جزء جدیدترین هاست و سال 2006 به چاپ رسیده.

شامل 3 جلد هست: basic / intermediate /advanced

که من امروز می خوام از Advanced برای شما مثال بزنم.البته توجه داشته باشین که تمام امکاناتش تو هر 3 جلد هست.

از خوبیهای کتاب باید بگم که:

1-از 17 بخش تشکیل شده.که هر کدومشون شامل چندین درس هستن و مبحث مورد نظر بصورت کامل و جزئی توضیح داده شده.

که من اینجا براتون title هاشون  می نویسم:

 که به عنوان مثال قسمت sentences به چندین درس تقسیم شده.شامل:

simple sentences and verbs

subjects and verbs

verbs and objects

verb with indirect objectives and clauses

linking verbs

compound and complex sentences

خوب اینم از این.

2-تقریبا هر درس در 1 صفحه توضیح داده شده و 1 صفحه هم تمرین داره.در قسمت تمرین هر درس 1 پاراگراف به شما داده شده تا اشکالاتش  پیدا کنید.برای همین یادگیریه شما تثبیت می شه و در واقع می تونید به آنالیزش بپردازید.

3-در آخر هر بخش test وجود داره که شما با انجام این آزمون می تونید بفهمید مطالب رو خوب یاد گرفتین یا صلاحیت رفتن به بخش دیگر دارین یا نه.

4-همونطور که گفتم این کتاب 1 سی دی هم داره که شامل 3 بخش:

A-listen and speak

B-read and write

C-test and review

قسمت A از 2 بخش  listening practice  و  dialogue تشکیل شده.که در بخش listening practice جملاتی خونده می شه و شما باید از بین 4 گزینه انتخاب کنید کدوم از نظر مفهوم به جمله گفته شده نزدیکتر.در قسمت dialogue  هم چندین مکالمه وجود داره که بین 2 نفر اجرا می شه.یکی خوده نرم افزار و اون یکیش شما.در این مکالمه چندین جای خالی وجود داره که باید با اطلاعات خودتون پرش کنید تا کامل بشه.بعد می تونید جواب درست رو ببینید.یا حتی به مکالمه گوش بدین.قسمت جالبش اینجاست که می تونید صدای خودتون ضبط کنید.یعنی نرم افزار شروع یه صحبت می کنه و وقتی به line  شما رسید ساکت می شه تا شما صحبت کنید.اینجوری می تونید صداتون ضبط کنید و گوش بدین و با مکالمه ی اصلی مقایسه کنید.جالب نه؟

قسمت B از 17 بخش تشکیل شده که با 17 بخش کتاب برابری می کنه.و تمرین های اضافی برای شما فراهم کرده.از 2 قسمت تشکیل شده.در قسمت اول جملاتی به شما داده شده با 1 جای خالی که باید از بین 4  گزینه ,جواب درست انتخاب کنید.و قسمت دوم که شامل 2 پاراگراف هست برای هر بخش که باید آنالیزش کنید و اشتباه ها رو پیدا کنید.پس هر 17 بخش , 2 قسمت داره که روی هم می شه 34 تا.

قسمت C هم که یه سری test و خلاصه ی درس ها رو در اختیارتون می ذاره.

در این بخش یعنی سی دی کاملا به صورت interactive  کار شده.و برای speaking شما خیلی خوبه.

جالب اینجاست که در تمام مدت پاسخ گویی به سوالات, روند عملکرد و پیشرفت شما نشون داده می شه.

شما چه مبتدی باشین چه پیشرفته میتونید از این کتاب نهایت استفاده رو ببرین.

مطمئنم پشیمون نمی شید.

راستی قیمت کتاب هم 4000 تومن.

خوب اینم یه سایت خیلی جالب و عالی و مفید برای کسایی که دوست دارن prefix , suffix , roots  ها رو یاد بگیره.واقعا محشره.این سایت اصلا از دست ندین.این سایت چیزای دیگه ای هم داره که خودتون برید متوجه می شید.

اینم 2 تا سایت دیگه که با عضو شدن توشون, این سایت هر روز براتون یه لغت به ایمیلتون می فرسته.فرقش با سایت قبلی اینه که علاوه بر مثال,تلفظ ,فونتیک و تاریخچه ی اون هم براتون فرستاده می شه.فقط کافیه وارد قسمت sign up و یا subscribe بشید.اگه کسی نتونست در این سایت ثبت نام کنه بهم خبر بده تا کمکش کنم.البته تو دومی می تونید سطح دشواریه لغت رو هم انتخاب کنید.

توی این سایت می تونید یه عالمه جملات زیبا و آموزنده ی نویسنده های مختلف دنلود کنید.می دونید که اینم یکی از روش های یادگیری زبان.

دفعه ی دیگه می خوام چند تا کتاب بهتون معرفی کنم.

می دونم که خیلی هاتون از این قضیه کلافه شدین که وقتی می خواین انگلیسی صحبت کنید خیلی از لغت ها رو به انگلیسی نمی دونید یا اگه هم لغتی رو حفظ می کنید یادتون می ره و یا نمی دونید چه جوری تو جمله به کارش ببرید.

خوب حتما می دونید که یه لغت نباید به تنهایی حفظ کنید بلکه باید اون تو جمله یاد بگیرین.

برای این هم من بهتون یه سایت معرفی می کنم.می تونید تو این سایت ایمیل خودتون وارد کنید اون وقت هر روز یه لغت که در 2 جمله به کار رفته براتون فرستاده می شه.جالب اینجاست که می تونید سطح دشواری لغت رو هم مشخص کنید.پس اگر مبتدی هستین می تونید سطح ساده رو انتخاب کنید.و اینجوری شما در سال با 365 تا لغت آشنا می شید که متناسب با سطح شماست.

البته این سایت قابلیت های دیگه هم داره می تونید penpal  یا همون دوست مکاتبه ای پیدا کنید و خیلی چیزای دیگه که خودتون اگه یه سری بهش بزنید متوجه می شید.

امتحان کنید.ضرر نمی کنید.

امروز یه چند تا سایت در مورد warm-up می خوام بهتون معرفی کنم.

اغلب مدرسا تا وارد کلاس می شن شروع می کنن به درس دادن.بعضی ها هم که بدون پیش زمینه ای شروع می کنن به کار کردن روی یه skill خاص.

خوب این اشتباه.(البته خودمم این کارو زیاد می کنم.چون وقت کلاس کمه)

این سایت راجع به فعالیت های قبل از listening  هستش.خیلی خوبه قبل از کار کردن روی این مهارت از عکس استفاده کنیم.راجه به موضع اش بحث کنیم و یا مطلب خاصی که مرتبط بهش هست رو برای بچه ها بیاریم و بخونیم و ازشون نظر خواهی کنیم.

خوب اگه نمی دونید چه سوالایی رو می تونید استفاده کنید برای شروع کلاس, این سایت می تونه بهتون کمک کنه.توی این سایت با 100 تا سوال آشنا می شید که هر کدوم ساختارای مختلفی دارن.اینجوری علاوه بر شاد کردن کلاس شاگرداتون رو هم با ساختارای جدید آشنا می کنید.

خوب امیدوارم استفاده کنید.

سخن آخر: مهمترین بخش کلاس اول کلاس.بیاید 10 دقیقه ی اول کلاس با شاگردامون گپ بزنیم.از خودشون بپرسیم یا حتی از احساسشون سر کلاس جویا بشیم.امتحان کنید.حتما جواب می ده.
